We started off our little vacation by stopping at Disneyland. We went there 10 years ago for our honeymoon so it seemed appropriate to go back (we couldn't tell our kids though, they would have been so sad)!! We both agreed that it wasn't as fun not having our kids with us!!:)

We just spent a day there before heading out the next day on a 7 night cruise to the Mexican Riviera!

We couldn't have had better weather! We spent as much time outside in the sun as possible:) We had a balcony this time which we loved! We loved being able to just relax without having to be around all of the people. The ship was pretty crowded since it was Spring Break. It will be hard to ever go again and not have a balcony!!:)

If you haven't cruised before we would at least recommend having a room with a window:) The first port we visited was Mazatlan. My idea of being adventurous was getting in a taxi with a stranger (in Mexico) and hoping they took us where we wanted to go!! They don't have seat belts and they drive like crazy people!! It makes Utah drivers look good!:) They don't even drive in the lanes they just cut people off and skip from lane to lane constantly swerving around other cars as fast as they can!!

We have never done that, we always book all of our excursions through the cruise ship because it is safer and you don't have to worry about the ship leaving you if you don't get back in time for some reason.

I am just nervous to do some things especially when you are in a different country (especially these days)!! Lance's idea of being adventurous was walking down the beach and paying some random person to go para sailing on the spur of the moment (another thing we never have done)! First of all they don't worry about how many boats are out in the water crossing paths nor do they worry how many people are up at one time (they are just trying to make money)!! They didn't even know where Lance was at they had so many people up in the sky at one time (they said "there's your husband over there" and pointed to a dot in the sky, when the person landed it wasn't him)!! I don't know if it was a good thing or bad thing that they suited him up before he had time to change his mind!! Afterwards we saw some tourists who said they were going to do the same thing but then they noticed that there were some holes in the parachute!!!!!

There were a couple times where Lance thought he was going to get tangled up in someone else's line! They kept asking me if I wanted to do it and there was no way!!!
We got to eat amazing food the entire trip! They had the best chocolate chip cookies (we ate way too many):)

The next port we visited was Porto Viarta.

We went on a Canopy excursion. We zip lined to 11 platforms, hiked and then rappelled 2 times! I thought it would be scary (and I was pretty nervous the first time) but after that it was so much fun!! You were hooked up to so many cables that you didn't worry about falling.

The place we went was actually the first zip line in Mexico. They didn't let you take camera's, they had their own photographer that came along and then you could buy the

pictures afterwards (smart marketing, who is not going to want pictures after doing something like this)!! Our last port was Cabo San Lucas. We have been there before (but spent the entire time on an excursion) so this time we just wanted to walk around and see what Cabo was like.

We ate at a really good Mexican restaurant called Solomon's. The part we didn't like was having the little kids (5 and 7 year olds coming up to us constantly trying to sell us things).

I had never really seen this before and we knew that Mexico is not just pretty beaches but I didn't like seeing kids my own kids ages walking around begging for money! Coming back to San Diego from Cabo was really rough waves. Half of the boat was sick on Friday! Luckily we didn't get sick but we got a little taste of what it feels like to be motion sick and I don't think we would ever cruise if we had to deal with that the entire time!!

It was a really fun vacation with just the two of us but I was happy to come back and see my kids again and I think the kids were ready for us to come home too:)
