Dance Company {Showtyme Classic}

 The Showtyme Classic at Clearfield High School (Carlie's last competiton for the season)!!

 They took 1st and 2nd place for their dances today!!

 Elite won the High Point overall Studio!! Great way to end the season!!

 Cayden and Lance rode the FrontRunner down to Clearfield to meet us after the competition so we could go out to dinner and celebrate!!

Builder of the Month {Carlie}

Carlie is the Builder of the Month for March. The theme this month is "I am a builder when I use courteous and encouraging words." Carlie exemplifies this theme by always using kind, considerate and encouraging words and actions. Carlie is quiet, but when she talks, only kind words come out. She also backs up her kind and encouraging words with actions. She is very helpful to have in the classroom. She never complains, even if things aren't going her way. Carlie is an encouraging CHAMPION.  - Mrs. Rakowski

Art Show

Carlie's art teacher selected a few students to display their picture in the art show at South Town Mall. Carlie was so excited to be picked!! It was fun to go to the mall and see her artwork along with the other students from American Prep!!

Builder of the Month {Cayden}

Cayden was the Builder of the Month!! Each teacher picks one student every month for this special award. They present them at an assembly in front of the entire school. Each teacher writes why the student deserved the award. This is what his said:

Cayden has been a great example of what it means to be a Builder who shows care and concern for others. Cayden shows care and concern for his teachers by being respectful and always doing what is asked of him. He shows care for his classmates by including others and being a great example. We have seen Cayden be brave and stick up for others, even when it is a hard thing to do. He is a kind and loyal friend. He has a very kind heart and loves and respects those around him. Cayden shows care and concern by helping his classmates stay on task and being considerate of others feelings. Cayden loves to greet his teachers with a warm smile and shows his love for learning in class. It's no wonder why everyone loves to be around Cayden! Cayden, you are OUTSTANDING!!

No more training wheels!!

 The snow has finally melted so Cayden could ride his new bike he got for Christmas!! This is his first time without training wheels. It was no more than 5 minutes and he was off riding without any help!! I was expecting it to take him much longer when he was afraid for Lance to let go. We are looking forward to many family bike rides on the parkway this Spring!!

A Rising Star

The gym teacher decided to start picking a student from each class, once a month to spotlight. Carlie was one of the first ones. Carlie was embarrassed about all of the attention so I had to force her to get this quick picture:)

Jr. Jazz 2012 - 2013

 This was Cayden's 2nd season playing Jr. Jazz basketball. He got into it a little more this year and you could see some improvement from last year:) It is always fun to watch!!
