Carlie really wanted a Hula Hoop recently! I hadn't even seen anyone with a hula hoop since I was a kid. So Lance surprised her with one when he came home from being out of town. It has been nonstop hula hooping at our house since!! We can't leave Cayden out and his new basketball! He is proud to show that off any chance he gets and he sleeps with it every night!! Who knew that two simple toys would be such prized possessions (for the moment anyway)!!:) I need to stop thinking so big, complicated and expensive when buying toys!

So true..Ryan's favorite toys are his dinosaurs that were not very expensive. I've decided to downsize when buying Christmas gifts and stuff...no need to spoil them so when they're 16 or 17, they expect a car to be happy right?
I wish I could still hula hoop. how fun!
Your house pictures below look gorgeous. What a great hubby!
it's like babies and boxes... they never care about what is in the box, they'll just take the box! I think kids are easier to please than parents think. Plus if you go overboard now, watch out when they get older.
I bought Marian an 88 cent baton from Walmart (for potty training purposes) and when it finally got bent in half (didn't know those things could bend!), she was devastated that her "magic wand" was in disrepair. :)
