Halloween 2008

This year Lance chose the costumes! Carlie was a Utah cheerleader and Cayden was a Utah Fan (notice the theme). Every year we try to pack more and more into the week of Halloween!! We went to three Halloween parties (I think that is a record for us)!! The kids loved going to see the witches at Gardner Village. Cayden wasn't sure if he was supposed to be scared or like the witches! The kids carved pumpkins with Lance. I am glad Lance likes to carve them and deal with the mess because I think I would just have them paint them if it was up to me. It has been a tradition every year since Carlie was a baby to carve pumpkins with Daddy. They love it and look forward to it every year!! I am glad that Halloween is finally over until next year. We have enough candy to last us until Thanksgiving but I think it will probably be gone in a week if the kids have there way!! Now we can move on to more "fun" holidays. I love Christmas time and all the traditions that come along with it! We are already listening to Christmas music!!

Family Pictures

My brother took our family pictures last week and they turned out great!! We lucked out and were still able to get the fall leaves with the bad weather we have had lately. The kids cooperated long enough to get some good pictures. I am lucky to have a brother who loves photography!!:)

What Can Happen in 2 Seconds!!!

I can't leave him alone for 2 seconds or this is what happens!! While I was trying to get things ready for Carlie's party this morning this is what he was busy doing! It was all over his hands and feet too! Another thing he loves to do is stand at the refrigerator and fill up cups of water and then dump it on the kitchen floor. It only takes 2 seconds (okay maybe a little longer) to have a lake in your kitchen (I just got done cleaning up the lake for the 4th or 5th time since he took up this new hobby)!! Does anyone want a stainless steel refrigerator with an outside water and ice maker (that doesn't have a lock option)?? I am ready to put it outside with a FREE sign on it!!!!!

It's Almost Halloween!

Carlie wanted to have a Halloween party so we invited a few friends over played Halloween Bingo, colored a pumpkin picture and frosted and decorated sugar cookies (all Carlie's plan)!! Everyone looked great in there costumes, Buzz Lightyear (Dillon) didn't want to be in the picture and poor Cayden doesn't have his real costume yet so we just faked it (good thing he is still too young to care)!!

Cheerleader for a Day - Game Night!

Tonight Carlie got to perform at halftime for Copperhills football. Carlie had so much fun cheering with her cousins. Her one cousin is one of the cheerleaders and then her other two cousins did the training camp with her. She was sad the first night when they separated everyone by age group. She was the only one out of the cousins put in a group by herself since she was younger so she had a hard time not knowing anyone. Once we got over that disappointment she had a great time. She learned a dance with her age group and then everyone did the cheers together so she was able to stand with her cousins. It was a fun night and it was nice that it was a little warmer than it has been lately so that we didn't all freeze to death!!

Cheerleader for a Day!

Lance's niece is a cheerleader this year at Copperhills and so Carlie got the chance to go to cheerleader camp. They do this camp so the cheerleaders can raise money for all there costs during the year. There is probably about 100 kids doing it this year! The last two nights we have spent practicing and tonight she gets to perform during halftime at the football game! Carlie has been so excited to do this and has decided she wants to be a cheerleader now!!

Too Many Choices............

It is always funny to see what pumpkin the kids are going to pick out. I usually am the one standing there thinking your going to pick that one?? I think they did pretty good this year considering how bitter cold and windy it was!! Cayden had to pick up about 10 and toss each of them to the side before he found just the right one (luckily none of them broke as he threw them down)! I was surprised they took as long as they did it was so cold!

Once Upon A Dream - Emily Osment - Music Video W/ Lyrics - Hannah Montana

Carlie couldn't wait for Sleeping Beauty to come out! It is a fun "classic", why can't they make good movies like this anymore? We love this song and of course Carlie loves "Lilly" from Hannah Montana:)

The Smell of Fresh Paint!

We just had part of our house painted over the weekend. The painter was amazing, it took him 2 days to paint what would have taken us a month!! It looks so different from before. I think our walls almost looked white before even though they were not. Now it just has a much warmer feeling to it when you walk in our house. If you need a good but quick painter just let me know!!

GO UTES!!

We went to the Utah game last night against Oregon State. If you saw the game last night
then you know what I am talking about when I say the last 2 minutes were amazing!! It looked like they weren't going to make it and then in the last minute they kicked the final field goal to win 31 to 28!! It is so funny watching Lance get so into the game!! It is just a game, right?:)
GO UTAH!!

Another Fun Weekend......

The look on Cayden's face at the watershow!

Last weekend we went to St. George. I hope Lance doesn't get rid of his client anytime soon that keeps us having an excuse to go down every three months!! Our friends Chelsey and Tony met us down there. Lance and Tony went mountain biking every morning and the girls (and Cayden) went swimming and shopping! I bet Cayden can't wait to go with the boys!! We had so much fun. On Saturday we went to Las Vegas for the day. Carlie's favorite part was M&M World. She didn't care about anything else! Both kids loved watching the water show at the Bellagio. You don't get to see much when you are trying to get through the crowds of people walking down the strip pushing two strollers! We had fun though trying! We can only handle going to Las Vegas every couple years! I think we had enough for a while (unless we could go stay at the Bellagio and go see O)!! :)
