Not exactly what the box looked like!

When I do any kind of project I am always disappointed if it does not look exactly like the picture on the package! I thought how could you go wrong buying a gingerbread train kit! Everything is there for you, there is no way it shouldn't turn out like the box. Well, it is kind of hard to make it look like the picture when none of the pieces match up and the frosting won't stick!! The kids had a fun time decorating the train with all of the candy but I think next year I will just stick with old fashioned graham crackers and frosting then I won't be disappointed when it doesn't look perfect:)

I totally agree. Still cute though! And, we have a Christmas visitor at our house now too. Thanks for the great idea!

I think it looks cute! You're good that you even take the time to do the gingerbread house (or train)!! I have a friend that has a Christmas elf too. Such a cute idea. I may have to steal that one but it may have to be next year.

I think your train is cute. We also did a gingerbread house and I agree with the frosting being difficult to work with etc.. also my kids are anxiously awaiting the elf to arrive at our house. I pre-paid for one at Oopsie Daisy and still have yet to receive it. I hope it cuts down on the fighting at my home.

I love that they have trains now! It all about the process of a project that kids love. Not so much the end product. Your kids look like their having a blast!

That is funny, we also did the train kit this year. It was by far the hardest kit to put together. The other kits work better.
